Blending Singapore’s warmth and hospitality with the natural and contemporary atmosphere of Western Australia, the design for the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge in Perth International Airport is a cultural fusion celebrating the rich cultural tapestry of both cities. In line with Singapore Airlines’ brand, the lounge offers travellers a holistic experience with a new dining concept comprising a ‘live station’, a barista-tended bar and the airline’s signature furnishing pieces.

Sustainable and locally sourced Western Australian blackbutt timber, together with Australian-made decorative finishes and colourful native floral arrangements, connects the space to its local context while the distinctive and vibrant batik feature graphic at the entrance welcomes travellers with a sense of familiarity and connection to Singapore. The design of the lounge incorporates adaptable zones to accommodate both public and private spaces, offering an inclusive area that caters to diverse needs of rest, dining, and work. Thoughtfully designed, considerations for universal accessibility and safety have been subtly integrated into the lounge.
