Parkway MediCentre is the client’s first foray into the heartlands of Singapore. Located within The Woodleigh Mall, the ambulatory care centre which houses a comprehensive suite of healthcare services is set up to make medical care accessible.

The intent to create a patient-first medical centre was articulated in the large open-concept central waiting area, formulated in response to the mall restriction that toilet/wet zones of the clinic must not be stacked directly above any Food & Beverages establishment on the floor below. With this clear zone located down the central spine of the unit, we saw an opportunity to organise the medical planning and patient experience of Parkway MediCentre around it for an effective synergy of its operations and better end-user wellbeing.

Designed to welcome and support healing, our scheme prioritised the Rehabilitation and Health Screening departments’ access to windowed areas as their patient groups were identified to have the longest dwelling time. Throughout, a palette of earth colours and neutral tones were applied and complemented by wood finishings, indoor greenery and plush furnishings to imbue the centre with a tangible sense of hospitality.
