A Verdant Workplace represents a bold workplace transformation, delivering 3,600sqm of communal- and wellbeing-focused workplace in the heart of Singapore’s City Hall district. Our vision, centred on creating a professional but warm and open environment, adapts from the park typology and harnesses the potential of third spaces to prioritise wellbeing, collaboration and productivity.

The workspace is connected by communal pathways, along which work areas and social spaces are strategically co-located. The spatial planning is rationalized by the office’s core programs: co-work, co-create and commune; thoughtfully sectioning the open floor plan into three key zones that flow intuitively into one another and facilitating spontaneous and dynamic inter-departmental interactions.

This narrative of a natural ebb and flow of the workplace is complemented by carefully considered planting schemes and a soft, neutral material palette. Planter boxes and green walls against soothing timber tones anchors in on the park typology and elevates the ‘park within an office’ aesthetic while functioning to provide unobstructive zoning. The benefits of proximity to nature are further supported by wellbeing design strategies such as the installation of circadian lightings and HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Arresting) air-conditioning system.

In rethinking the conventional office setting as we know it, we have helped reshape the workplace environment and catalyst for our client, purposeful change in the behaviours and mindsets of its end-users.
