DP Design was recognised as the Design Firm of the Year for its holistic, investigative and non-linear approach to interior spaces, with a firm belief in the transformative power of purpose-driven design to inspire change. Pursuing design outcomes that extend beyond aesthetic appeal, the practice has always been concerned with spatial quality and design excellence, creating uplifting interior environments that resonate deeply with the emotions and unique experiences of their end-users. Formulated in direct response to a building’s intrinsic architectural relationships and socio-economic landscape, the firm’s design process harnesses cross-typology expertise and well-purposed strategies to derive dynamic solutions and value propositions with creative synergy and agility.

A Gold and Luminary winner in the category Best in Workspace Design (Floor Area ≥ 501 sqm), the design of HDB (Housing Development Board) Workplace Transformation reflects the essence of the affordable local housing in Singapore and its distinct yet bespoke elements. The space emphasises elements of dwelling and familiarity among locals, encouraging spontaneous collaboration and a sense of belonging within the workplace. An office immersed in nature, the design draws inspiration from the communal landscapes of HDB estates, where lush greenery blends seamlessly with everyday life. Strategically planned as a network of pockets, the space encourages moments of work, collaboration and quiet reflection within a shared environment. With ample natural light and greenery such as vertical gardens and outdoor terraces, the workspace abode is infused with a sense of tranquillity and warmth.

Similarly recognised with the Gold and Luminary award in the category Best in Retail Design (Mall Communal Spaces), The Exchange TRX is a vibrant experience-led retail destination in Malaysia with a focus on placemaking. The interior is conceived as a network of interconnected yet distinct malls, seamlessly integrated under a shared park. The design not only redefines the landscape but also emphasises a profound connection between nature and urban life. Touches of local heritage elements, including Batik motifs reimagined into monogram patterns and lighting inspired by a modern interpretation of traditional Malaysian Songket transform the mall’s interior into memorable spaces unique to its context. These distinctive features blend cultural heritage with contemporary design, creating a dynamic destination with an identifiable sense of place through materiality and geometry.

Awarded Honourable Mention in Best in Public Space Design, Odeon 331 is a reimagination of the existing lobby, transforming the once enclosed space into an urban park—an extension of the outdoors with a natural and organic atmosphere. The lobby now flows seamlessly into the wider environment, inviting exploration and connection among users. No longer just a passageway, the revamped lobby serves as a place maker within the area, blending work and play to offer a versatile, modern environment that encourages collaboration, relaxation and meaningful interactions. The design promotes natural ventilation for energy efficiency and comfort, while wellbeing is enhanced through the use of natural, eco-friendly materials, timber hues and landscape elements. Integrating naturally ventilated systems and energy-efficient features, the design aims to minimise carbon footprint with a commitment to environmental sustainability.
